Educational Computer Science Program

In today’s world, ICTs (Information and Communications Technology) become a basic tool for the teaching-learning process. Aware of this need, St. Jude School offers a program on Educational Computer Science based on TBox methodology, internationally certified (NETS: National Educational Technology Standards for Students and 21st Century Skills). It develops a technological curriculum recognized by Cambridge University under the learning through making philosophy. Furthermore; students are certified by Microsoft in several software packages.
Students develop projects according to their level and use the computer as a tool. Topics developed in these projects incorporate other subjects from the curriculum such as: Mathematics, Science, Spanish, Social Studies, etc.
There are three labs on campus for Preschool, Elementary School, and High School equipped with modern PC, Robotics Modules, and Wi-Fi.
This program is complemented with a portal through which students, teachers, and parents interact and where academic and disciplinary performance of the students is accessible.
The Institution is highly interested on innovation and high-end technology. It currently has interactive whiteboards and will soon purchase some Mimio® Technologies products –devices that work as interactive whiteboards- intended for teachers to improve their teaching experience and turn it into a more attractive and interesting experience through digital technology.
