Mrs Helia Plasencia de Betancourt and her family arrived in Costa Rica in 1961 from Cuba, in the context of the Island's Revolution.
In 1992, a property was acquired in Lindora de Santa Ana to expand the project.
Since 2000, we have developed all our educational stages, and in 2008 St. Jude School was officially born.
Our school became part of International Schools Partnership.
Mrs Helia Plasencia de Betancourt and her family arrived in Costa Rica in 1961 from Cuba, in the context of the Island's Revolution. She was the Director of the Primary Teachers' School in HolguÃn and, upon arriving in Costa Rica, became the first lay guide at the prestigious Colegio de Nuestra Señora de Sión.
In 1992, a property was acquired in Lindora de Santa Ana to expand the project. This area, with optimal safety conditions and great natural beauty for the development of a learning process, is the origin of our institution, which today has a nursery, preschool, primary, and secondary school of a high educational level.
Starting in the year 2000, all the educational stages that we currently offer were gradually developed over time. In 2008, the two campuses of the school merged, forming one of the best educational communities in all of Costa Rica - St. Jude School.
International St. Jude School became part of International Schools Partnership with the aim of developing and transforming the institution into a better version of itself and enabling students to learn at levels that surprise them.
